Outlook Overview: A mobile Atlantic regime will dominate for the rest of the week and into next week too, bringing a continuation of unsettled weather.Saturday night: A rather wet and blustery night with widespread spells of rain, heaviest in Atlantic coastal counties. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in fresh to strong and gusty south to southwesterly winds.Sunday: Sunday is going to be a fairly wet and a rather windy day nationwide, with spells of rain. The rain will be heavy at times, especially in the south and west. with river and surface water flooding expected. Indeed the heavy rainfall will bring a high risk of river flooding across western parts of Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Clare Galway, Mayo and Donegal, as the soils are saturated and the river levels are high. Highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees in fresh to strong and gusty south to southwesterly winds.Sunday night: The rain will continue for a time on Sunday night and will be heavy at times, with further flooding expected. However the rain will clear southeastwards overnight with clear spells following and just a few showers into western parts. There's a chance that the rain may linger over parts of the southeast. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees with the winds veering southwest to west and easing light to moderate.Monday: Any rain in the southeast will clear to leave a mainly dry bright day across the country, with sunshine and some scattered showers, these mainly in the west and southwest. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in light to moderate southwesterly winds.Monday night: Long clear spells developing overnight. Largely dry apart from some light showers along Atlantic coastal counties. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees in light westerly winds and with some frost and icy patches developing.Tuesday: A largely dry and bright day Tuesday, with isolated showers in the parts of the west. Highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees in a light southwesterly wind.
